On September 24th, 2008, Taro Aso assumed the office of Japanese Prime Minister after Yasuo Fukuda resigned from his position.
Prime Minister Aso has a long history working in government and is closely associated to many political and royal Japanese figures through birth, friendship and other relatives.
Many people like Prime Minister Taro Aso because of his charm and warm personality. But don’t underestimate him for being a pushover. He is strong in his beliefs and asserts himself in everything he does.
Since becoming the latest Japanese Prime Minister, Taro Aso has promoted himself on TV and radio throughout Japan to inform people of his new position and what he hopes to accomplish while in office. He has announced his intentions to change the economy for the better and strengthen community and national pride.
