Clothing to Wear in Infrared Sauna

Posted By Lindsey Gayle

It is time for some relaxation. Your stressed out body is asking to shed off that over stress and extra burden. To exfoliate and rejuvenate your skin, you need to give it space to breathe and let new cells come out. The best way you can do this is to offer some heat. Saunas, the places of steam baths which use electrical heat and lights to help relax the body, offer the best relaxation for your stressed muscles and relieve you from pains and strains. This brings in all new energy and helps in better functioning and feeling of the body.

Before you actually proceed to getting in to a sauna, there are points you need to keep in mind to extract the best Sauna experience. This includes everything right from what time you visit, how much time you spend there, the kind of sauna that you choose, the clothing that you wear, etc. There are no hard and fast rules in this aspect. It depends on individual’s choice. There are specific clothing that you should wear while taking steam and heat.

What to Wear in an Infrared Sauna?

There should be very little dressing in a sauna. The body should be able to absorb all the heat and you not feel suffocating after shedding sweat. This is the whole idea of putting clothing to the minimum. In traditional saunas, the rooms are vast and are meant for group of customers. The steam is generated in a large room with big bricks and stoves. In those places, nudity cannot be an option.

Where as in an Infrared sauna, a customer is allotted a solo room with slow and deep penetration of heat under the body of the patient. The best option is to wear loose fitting shorts and tops where you breathe lot of air. Tank tops and breathable cotton t-shirts can also be worn to give the body the best warmth even in low temperatures.
