No Large Exodus Outta Tokyo
Reports from foreign news media tend to exaggerate the situation here in Japan. Reports of a mass exodus of people leaving the Tokyo area is far from the truth. Sure there are people leaving. Japanese TV is reporting the earthquake in all languages warning people along the coastal areas to evacuate ASAP for fear of tsunami. The tsunami warning is reporting a wave possibly up to 3 meters high. A few buildings are on fire, but the damage doesn’t look to be major.
