After School Lessons For Tohoku Children
In response to the tragedies of March 11, 2011 I developed a not for profit project called After School Lessons For Tohoku Children to help children with their educational needs, particularly in the area of ESL. The project is an information exchange website that assists people in finding affordable books and tuition discounts for their children. The Nagai Botanical Garden in Higashi-Sumiyoshi Ward, Osaka will hold a flower festival from May 12 to 17 beginning at 10am until 4:30pm. Various events will be held during the festival. People attending the festival will be able to enjoy handicrafts and gardening lessons. Herbal tea will be served for free during the event. Admission is ¥200. The Kobe YMCA is giving free Japanese lessons for beginners. The lessons begin July 4th to August 29th on Mondays and Fridays from 6:30pm to 8:20pm at the YMCA Language Center in the Chuo Ward of Kobe.
