Coffee Lesson at Starbucks in Sanjo
Posted by Kyle Yates in Kansai Leisure
Did you know Starbucks gives lessons on how to make coffee and what foods to serve along with the dark brew?
Starbucks on Sanjo in Kyoto gave a lesson to mothers with newborn babies. Starbucks staff sectioned off an area in the back of the shop for roughly 2 hours. Mother pushed their baby strollers in through the shop and parked them in the back alongside their nicely set tables awaiting them.
Several women staff members presented them with taster cups of espresso topped with a daub of whipped cream to start the event. Then Starbucks staff showed them a bag of espresso coffee and how to make a cup using one of the coffee plungers. Later, another staff member brought them small pieces of pie to compliment the espresso.
After their first cup of coffee, they drank some water to wash away the previous coffee taste and brewed another cup along with another treat.
The young mothers giggled and chatted about their Starbucks experience, the coffee and food.
For coffee lovers and people who are generally new to making coffee for themselves, the Starbucks lesson is an eyeopening refreshing way to learn, and an especially fun way for young mothers to spend the morning with others alike.
