Snow Flurries This Week
Posted by Kyle Yates in Kansai Visitors
Southern Kyoto hasn’t had much snow all winter. But the past week it’s snowed 4 out of 7 days. Of course, snow hasn’t accumulated on the ground like it has in the mountains, but it has at least stuck to the ground nonetheless.
Last Saturday, parts of northern Osaka and southern Kyoto received up to 15 centimeters of snow. Kids were playing in the snow throughout the day building snowmen and enjoying snowball fights.
The weather forecast for the rest of this week is similar. Expect partly sunny skies and occasional flurries of snow throughout the week along with colder than usual temperatures in Kyoto, Osaka and Kobe. Further north and west of Kyoto City, you’ll run into much more snow. Go to the mountains for the good snow!
