Join the Suita Festival – July 26th to 29th, 2007

The Mothers’ Power-Up Group of Suita City, Osaka is looking for foreigners who would like to experience 4 days of Japanese culture.
On July 26th, dress up in a kimono in a Japanese wooden house to get the full effect of traditional Japan. It’s a great opportunity for pictures! Located in Hamayashiki just 15 min. from JR Suita Stn., 20 min. from Hankyu Suita Stn. and 10 min. from Hankyu Aikawa Stn. The fee is only 500 yen! 6 men and 6 women only allowed! So first come first served!
On July 27th, experience a tea ceremony at the May Theater Tea Room located 1 min. from Hankyu Suita Stn. 500 yen! Maximum 12 participants only!
Only the 28th, learn how to dance Bon Odori! Dance lessons will be at Suita City Hall, (Shimin-Kaikan) just 10 min. from JR Suita Stn. or 1 min. from Hankyu Suita Stn. The fee is also 500 yen! Max 15 participants!
On the last day, July 29th, help carry the ‘Young Mikoshi’ festival float from Asahidori Street around the corner from JR Suita Stn. Receive a traditional festival costume - to wear during the festival only, not to take home. There is no fee for this! It’s free! Max 10 participants!
